The following Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this Web site as well as all transactions conducted through the site.

  • Shipping & Delivery

    We ship within 24-48 hours after we receive your order. Many times we ship same day if the order is received by noon.

    We do ship internationally. Please email with your address, the items you would like, your phone number and we will be glad to email you a quote for shipping. We have no way of knowing if you will be charged a customs fee. The quote we give you is for shipping to your country. You will be responsible for any customs fees once your basket arrives. If you decide to make a purchase with us, we will send you an invoice via Paypal. We can only accept international payments through Paypal.


    Alaska and Hawaii will ship USPS parcel post and will have a surcharge due to the additional shipping costs for these states. APO boxes will ship USPS parcel post. Priority mail is very expensive. If you prefer priority shipping, please call for rates.


    We ship your basket in a 16" cube box so your basket will not be flattened unless stated (special sales stating basket will be sent flattened). If more than one Bolga basket is ordered, we will flatten the bottoms or sides of the basket so we can fit several in one box. This keeps the cost of shipping to a minimum since the baskets are so large. Since the baskets come from Africa flattened, this will not hurt them. The baskets are very easy to reshape and instructions come with every basket. If you prefer to have your baskets shipped one to a box, please call or email. We will send you an adjusted shipping invoice.


    Please note that we ship UPS ground or US Post Office Parcel Post. Alaska and Hawaii will ship parcel post. Some of the smaller baskets may ship priority mail. If you prefer parcel post, please specify that on your order form under special instructions. It usually takes about 3-5 days for ground shipping to the east coast and about 7-8 days to ship to the west coast. Parcel post is usually 7-10 days. AK and HI shipping parcel post could take your order can take around 3-5 weeks or longer for delivery. Please call for a quote if you prefer priority shipping. Its very expensive but we will be glad to figure the cost if you prefer that method of shipping. Thank you for your business.

    If you would like to pick up your order at one of the farmers markets where we sell on Friday and Saturday, please let us know in advance and we will not charge you any shipping.

  •  We will be glad to check shipping prices for priroity international. Please email for a quote.  These prices do not include any customs or tax fees you may be charged in your country upon the shipment's arrival.  We will ship the most cost effective way in the smallest box possible.  Its usually much cheaper if we can pack 2-3 baskets in one box.  They do make great gifts.

  • We do charge 6.5 percent sales tax for Florida customers.



  • Return Policy

  • Returns: We do allow returns as long as the item is shipped within 7 days after purchase arrives. The item must be in new condition. We will gladly exchange or give you a credit for your item. Purchaser is responsible for all shipping costs including shipping the item back to us and if you are exchanging it, shipping the new item back to you. Thank you.

  • Payment Options: We take credit cards on our website or you can make a credit card payment through Paypal. You may also call in your order and payment information if you prefer.     The Bolga baskets are grass baskets and were made to be carried on the head. They are strong and durable. The grass is twisted before its woven to give it more strength. They can really carry a lot of weight. However, they are not meant to carry loads of books day after day. Although one customer used her basket for over a year carrying heavy books every school day.     Care of your basket: To reshape basket: wet your basket (avoid getting the handle wet as it will dry it out), let it sit for a few minutes for the grass to absorb the water, then shape. Let dry thoroughly. I always put mine in the sun for a little while to dry quicker. The leather handles: You can use a leather cleaner on the handle occasionally to keep them from drying out.
